My installation was more difficult than average. I had a 1.5″ tube steel mounted on an old dead tree. The slip fitter is 2.5″. Too big for a tight fit. I had to modify and upsize my post. Then it was an easy install as advertised. I’m very happy with the quantity of light. It’s better then the 400w metal halide that I’m replacing. Also the quality of light is excellent, a nice white daylight color, no more eerie yellows. The photocell works good. The lumens spread over a radius of about 40-50ft with a 18’high tree mount, which is very good for my purposes. Directly underneath it, you could easily read a book.
